An Exploration in Digital Drawing

I've been drawing every day in photoshop this year and will be posting my sketches on here!

My main goal is to have 365 images on here by the end of 2020.

I've been feeling like I'm at a bit of a crossroads with my art for a while now.

I want to go in so many directions (animation, gifs, background art, fine art, graphic design, illustration). Often times when faced with limitless options, I wind up doing nothing, so I figured that I can explore all of these options at once for a while, but still have the pressure of a little deadline each day.

It's going to be mostly a place for me to play with color schemes, and drawing from my imagination, both things that aren't within my comfort zone right now.

Here are some of my goals:

-Get more in touch with what color schemes and what works for me!

-Be less afraid of putting my work out for other people to see.

-Make work that's really imaginitive. (so much of the art I love has realism mixed with fantasy in some way or another, and I'd like to bridge the gap a bit between the kind of art I love, and the kind of art I make.

-Just have a bunch of drawings gush out of me like fat studio ghibli tears.

-I think I'll give writing about art more a go as well, maybe even write a bit about other artists who inspire me.

-Play with making animations. I've been wanting to make more gifs for YEARS and I still haven't done it, so I'd like to do some little animations as well.

I get nervous about posting on social media, but I do think I do a better job when I know people are going to see my work, so I'm hoping this blog format is just the right amount of public for me to feel comfortable making bad art and still putting it out there.
